Julianne Hough moved to London, England at
the age of ten where she trained vigorously with a couple of dance coaches and
studied at the Italia Conti Academy of Performing Arts. Her hard work and
dedication paid off, as she became the youngest and only American to gain the
titles of Junior Blackpool World Latin Champion and International Youth
Champion. Aside from dancing, Hough was also trained in the art of singing.
When she was 15 years old, Julianne returned to her hometown in Utah and spent
the rest of her teen years with her 10 siblings. After graduating from high
school, she relocated to Los Angeles in the hopes of building her singing,
acting and dancing career.
Julianne was an Assistant Choreographer on Gwen Stefani's Wind It Up music
video.
Julianne Hough appears in the fourth season of Dancing with the Stars, a
televised ballroom dance competition. Her partner is Olympic gold medalist Apolo
Anton Ohno.
Julianne also made an appearance on ABC game show Show Me the Money.
Dance biography
Julianne Hough started her formal dance training at Center Stage Performing Arts
in Orem, Utah. Dancing with Josh Murillo in Latin Ballroom. Julianne Hough moved
to London, England at the age of ten during her parents' divorce where she
trained with world Latin Dance Champions Corky and Shirley Ballas. Corky and
Shirley raised Julianne as a child and as a coach, in London together with Mark
Ballas Jr, and her brother Derek Hough. Corky and Shirley sent Julianne to train
at Italia Conti Academy of Performing Arts. She became the youngest and only
American to gain the titles of Junior Blackpool World Latin Champion and
International Youth Champion. Hough was also trained in singing.
When she was 15 years old, Hough returned to her hometown in Utah. After
graduating from Alta High School, she relocated to Los Angeles in the hopes of
building her singing, acting and dancing career. She was an assistant
choreographer on Gwen Stefani's "Wind It Up" music video. Hough's single "Will
You Dance With Me" is now available on iTunes.
The Hough siblings and Ballas had their own pop music trio called "2B1G(2 Boys 1
Girl)" as the siblings mentioned on Entertainment Tonight on October 11, 2007.

Hough appeared in the fourth season of Dancing with the Stars, a televised
ballroom dance competition. She won with her partner, Olympic gold medal-winning
speed skater Apolo Anton Ohno. She is now the youngest professional dancer to
compete and to have won Dancing with the Stars. She is also the third
professional (Alec Mazo and Cheryl Burke were the first two) to win a Dancing
with the Stars championship in his/her first season with the show. She is
currently competing in Season 5 with two-time Indianapolis 500 champion Helio
Castroneves.
She also made an appearance on the ABC game show Show Me the Money. With her
partner Apolo Anton Ohno, Hough also appeared on the talk shows Jimmy Kimmel
Live and The View.
Julianne released her first country music single "Will You Dance With Me" on
iTunes in May 2007. The song rose to #8 on the iTunes "Top Country Songs"
